All of the dishes are lovingly prepared in Jan's kitchen.

Some are designed for the smaller appetite, but most will challenge the heartiest of diners. Lighter meals can be ordered at any time, and special diets are normally no problem.

Here, is a selection from the current menu, some of which are regular favourites, and some are from the specials board which changes daily.

Dim sum - Oriental vegetables with lemongrass and coriander in crispy golden filo. Served with a sweet chilli sauce
Artichoke, sun dried tomato and bean salad - On a bed of crispy green leaves with a dijon mustard vinaigrette
Wild mushroom and Madeira pate - A rich homemade pate with fresh thyme and ricotta cheese.
Nachos - tortilla chips layered with tomato salsa and melted mozzarella and topped with gucamole and sour cream
White bean & cumin pate - Served with sesame seeded breadsticks
Caramelised Onion & Goats cheese Filo Parcels - Served with redcurrant jelly

Thai yellow curry - - oriental vegetables in an authentic, aromatic sauce
Spicy bean enchiladas - flour tortillas filled with mixed beans, squash, red onion, chiili and ginger. topped with fresh tomato sauce and cheese and baked until crispy and golden
Sun-dried tomato pasta - Fresh tomato, black olives and fresh basil in a sun dried tomato and saffron sauce
Roasted Vegetable & Brie Tart - Served with mushroom, stilton or fresh tomato sauce

Roasted mushroom wellington - A whole roasted field mushroom, stuffed with fresh basil pesto & mozzarella, wrapped in puff pastry and served with a creamy white wine sauce
African sweet potato stew - with roasted red peppers, sugar snaps and baby corn in a spicy peanut & tomato sauce.Topped with herby diced potatoes
Roasted vegetable pie - Roasted celeriac and parsnips with spring onions, green beans and petit pois in a creamy leek and cider sauce. Topped with golden puff pastry
Porcini risotto fritters - stuffed with gruyere , rolled in golden breadcrumbs and baked unitl crispy. Served with a fresh tomato sauce

Raspberry Cheesecake - vanialla cheescake topped with fresh raspberries and fresh fruit coulis
Treacle pudding - served hot with lots of treacle and custard

Chocolate & Caramel Truffle Box - Served with freshly whipped cream
Summer Pudding - Filled with soft fruits and cassis, drizzled with raspberry coulis and whipped cream
Fig, Plum & Pistachio Frangipane - A traditional almond frangipane, set on a butter biscuit base, finished with flaked pistachio nuts
